Soil Remediation System – EGX Unit

High-capacity soil and sludge remediation using hydrodynamic cavitation

The EGX Unit is a compact, container-based soil remediation system designed for efficient treatment of contaminated soil, sludge, and industrial waste. With a processing capacity of 5–10 tons per hour, it offers a fast, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible solution for handling complex contamination challenges.

How the EGX Technology Works

The EGX system separates oil, sand, and water into clean, distinct fractions using hydrodynamic cavitation.

Technology Principle
  • At the core of the system is mechanical cavitation.

  • Local pressure changes inside the liquid create millions of vapor bubbles

  • These bubbles collapse (implode), generating intense micro-forces.

  • The energy release breaks the bonds between hydrocarbons and solids.

Our Application

The EGX produces hydrodynamic cavitation through mechanically driven impellers in the flow stream. This controlled implosion effect converts fluid dynamics into a highly efficient separation process—without heat, chemicals, or additives.

Output Fractions
  • Oil: The process preserves the chemical properties of the hydrocarbons. Extracted oil can be reused or sold commercially.

  • Sand: The cleaned sand meets environmental discharge requirements. It can be directly dumped without further processing.

  • Water: The treated water meets quality criteria for safe discharge or reuse. Can be utilized commercially depending on local regulations.

Contamination Types the System Can Treat

The EGX handles a wide range of challenging contaminants, including:

  • Oil and petrochemical residues

  • Heavy metals

  • NORM

  • PFAS and other persistent compounds

The system is designed to process:

  • Sand, silt, clay

  • Sludge

  • Oil sand

  • Mixed contaminated soils

Required Pre-Analysis Before Deployment

To ensure optimal setup, the following parameters are evaluated:

  • Contamination profile

  • Solid content

  • Particles size distribution

  • Water content

  • Required output quality and discharge limits
